Solresor - Sweden
Solresor was launched in 1989 as a part of STS. In the first year a modest 2700 travellers flew with Solresor to Gran Canaria. The number of travellers increased every year and in 2000 Solresor had it´s big breakthrough when it became first in Sweden to arrange charter travel to Portugal’s Azores Islands. After that the range of exciting destinations worldwide increased rapidly. Solresor was also unique in launching charter travel to Salalah in the sultanate of Oman. In the fall of 2005 Solresor, including the Norwegian subsidiary Solia, was sold to Primera Travel Group Scandinavia.
Solresor is Sweden’s fourth largest charter company but number one when it comes to customer satisfaction. Solresor won the travel industry’s Grand Travel Award in the category ”Best Charter Company of the Year” in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Solresor still offers unique destinations such as Oman and the Azores besides more traditional charter destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, exotic countries like Vietnam and safaris in Africa. Solresor’s business idea is ”to offer comfortable package holidays with high quality to competitive prices on the Scandinavian market”. The headquarters is located in Malmö and CEO is Mr. Anders Hagert, one of the company founders. In 2007 Solresor had a turnover of 1,5 billion SEK excluding subsidiaries and the turnover for 2008 is expected to reach just over 2 billion SEK, excluding subsidiaries. The company has grown every year since it started. In 2007 the turnover grew by 40 % and that year Solresor was also named one of Sweden’s fastest growing companies by the business newspaper Dagens Industri.

Solresor är Sveriges fjärde största charterarrangör och startades år 1989 som en del av STS. Första året åkte blygsamma 2 700 resenärer med oss till Gran Canaria. För varje år ökade antalet resenärer och destinationer och det stora genombrottet skedde år 2000 när Solresor blev först i Sverige med att arrangera charterresor till den portugisiska ögruppen Azorerna. Därefter utökades utbudet i snabb takt med spännande resmål över hela världen. Solresor var också ensamma om att lansera charterresor till Salalah i sultanatet Oman.
